Attention: All 2018 Intake students.

Registration for the 2nd Year of Study [MCS/ MSc. in CS/ MIT/MIS/ MBAnalytics Degree Programmes]

1. Considering the prevailing situation due to COVID 19, all students of the 2nd semester of the MCS/ MIT/ MIS/ MBAnalytics Degree Programmes shall be allowed to follow the 2nd-year irrespective of the GPA already earned.

2. All students are advised to pay the remaining balance of the registration fee (25% of the total Registration Fee) of the programme on or before 31st August 2020. Amounts to be paid for each programme are as follows;

**Students of Master of Computer Science (MCS) programme who wish to follow Master of Science in Computer Science (MSC in CS) programme shall be allowed to register in the MSc in CS programmes by paying the 2nd year registration fee of MCS programme. They should follow relevant course modules and start Individual research projects for MSc in CS. (Note: If the student becomes eligible for MSc in CS after the examinations held and result  finalised, he/ she should pay the balance LKR 50,000 for MSc in CS programme).

All students of MCS programme should declare the selected Degree programme to follow in the 2nd year by filling up the form (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1l3RihsBIzmsW4yzxPzdRlFDoed8ino2P/view?usp=sharing) and uploading the duly filled form to the following submission link on or before 31st August 2020 along with the UCSC copy of the Paying Voucher.

^ Students of Master of Information Security (MIS) and Master of Business Analytics (MBAnalytics) degree programmes shall be allowed to undertake either the Individual Project or engage in Independent Study and submit a Dissertation/Portfolio in the fourth semester of the Programme. Please indicate your preference by filling up the form (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IqrDKhJ04tT929qa1W14KMypSgdjYHBt/view?usp=sharing) and uploading the duly filled form to the following submission link on or before 31st August 2020 along with the UCSC copy of the Paying Voucher.

3. You should make the payments before 31st August 2020 to the A/C N0: 086-1001-5118-9665 of Peoples Bank – Thimbirigasyaya Branch. 

   1. Payment in installments or personal cheque is not accepted.

   2. If you are sponsored by an organization, payment may also be made by a crossed cheque drawn in favor of the University of Colombo School of Computing Masters Programme.

   3. Payment should be made before 31st August 2020. Failure to do so may be considered as you are not interested to register in the 2nd year.

4. Once the payment is made, you are requested to send the original UCSC copy of the Paying Voucher to the Senior Assistant Registrar/ Postgraduate Division, No. 35, Reid Avenue, Colombo 07 through the Registered Post on or before 1st  September 2020.

5. Lectures of the 2nd year of study will commence from 7th August 2020. The 1st half of the semester will be held online.
