EY Foundry expands into Sri Lanka and across Asean!

Dear all,

We are delighted to share with you that professional services firm, EY, will be expanding the re-launch of EY Foundry into Sri Lanka. EY Foundry is a dedicated virtual incubator program targeting technology start-ups aligned with the tax, accounting, fintech, regulation tech, legal tech, compliance tech and HR tech industries.

Sri Lanka will be part of selected Asean markets (Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore), together with Australia and New Zealand to launch, after Sydney (Australia) and Singapore first introduced the program.

EY Foundry is an exciting initiative that is focused to help start-ups accelerate their business growth and their technology development. The selected start-ups will receive six months of participation in high growth EY activities, piloting opportunities, EY tailored learnings and access to up to US$120,000 worth of Microsoft Azure credits, to help build their technology stack.

To date EY Foundry has facilitated over 300 start-up introductions, 180 start-up product demonstrations and identified 40 product use cases within the EY community. It is also a female founder friendly platform, with 50% of start-up participants founded by female entrepreneurs.

Ideally applicants to the program will meet most of the criteria below:
  • An early stage (pre-series A funding) start-up that is technology or product-focused
  • Aligned to the tax, accounting, fintech, regtech, legal tech, compliance tech and HR tech industries, or applications to these industries
  • Have a working prototype or working towards a prototype that is scalable and can be used internationally
  • A leadership team with demonstrated experience in the relevant industry
  • Not co-working or accepting resources from other Big 4 firms

Timeline

Applications to EY Foundry are open via the EY Foundry website until 6 November 2020. A review process will follow and collectively a cohort of 12 to 14 start-ups will be selected to participate in the program. In early December, EY Foundry will formally launch virtually with an announcement of the start-ups selected for the program.

For more information about the program, visit the EY Foundry website. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please contact the EY Foundry team.

Thank you!
