Attention: All 2019 Intake students
Registration for the 2nd Year of Study - MCS/ MSc in CS/ MIT/ MIS/ MBAnalytics Degree Programmes
Considering the prevailing situation due to COVID 19, all students of the 2nd semester of the MCS/ MIT/ MIS/ MBAnalytics Degree Programmes shall be allowed to follow the 2nd-year. However, they are required to satisfy the 1st year GPA requirements as per bylaws prior to the graduation.
Academic activities of the 2nd year will commence from 24th September 2021.
All students are advised to pay the remaining balance of the registration fee (25% of the total Registration Fee) of the programme on or before 1st October 2021. Amounts to be paid for each programme are as follows;

Note;
**Students of Master of Computer Science (MCS) programme who have already opted to follow the Master of Science in Computer Science (MSc in CS) programme shall be allowed to register in the MSc in CS programme by paying the 2nd year registration fee of MCS programme. They should follow relevant course modules and start the individual research project for MSc in CS. (Note: If the student becomes eligible for MSc in CS after the examinations are held and the result finalised, he/she should pay the balance LKR 50,000 for MSc in CS programme). (Kindly note that moving from the MCS programme to MSc in CS program after the examinations are held and the results finalised is not permitted.)
**All students of MCS programme who have already selected to follow the Individual Research Project (MCS 3203) or Individual Project (MCS 3204) should declare the opted Degree programme in the 2nd year by filling up the relevant form and uploading the duly filled form to the following submission link on or before 1st October 2021.
^Students of Master of Information Security (MIS) and Master of Business Analytics (MBAnalytics) degree programmes who have already selected to undertake either the Individual project or Independent study should also indicate the selected module by filling up the relevant form and uploading the duly filled form to the following submission link on or before 1st October 2021.
Payment instructions ;
Payment should be made to UCSC MASTERS DEGREE PROGRAMME - PEOPLE’S BANK, THIMBIRIGASYAYA - AC No. 086-1001-511-89665 on or before 1st October 2021. (Failure to do so may be considered as you are not interested in registering in the 2nd year. )
Payment can be made at any people's bank branch onsite or as an online bank transfer to the above account.
Payment in instalments or personal cheque are not accepted.
If you are sponsored by an organization, payment should be made by a crossed cheque drawn in favour of the “University of Colombo School of Computing Masters Programme”.

Once the payment is made, you are required to;
Upload a copy of the pay receipt to the submission link below on or before 1st October 2021 and
Send the original UCSC copy of the pay receipt along with the duly completed forms requested above to the Senior Assistant Registrar/ Postgraduate Division, No. 35, Reid Avenue, Colombo 07 through the registered post on or before 10th October 2021.
